Warm Up Your Winter With Color

The sun may be hibernating but you don't have to. Decorate your home in defiance of the winter gloom by making it bright and sunny and happy. We are not suggesting that you pour sand on the carpet, blow-up an inflatable palm tree and pretend you're at the beach. But, by following these decorative tips you might just add warmth to those cold winter nights:

Paint? Who Needs It?:
Sure the walls need to be painted, but who wants to do that during winter when you can't ventilate without freezing? Trying hanging a large tapestry as a wall accent. A bit of woven art can add warmth and style to any room.

Stained Glass = A Glass Half Full:
The dark hues of autumn have past and the bright colors of spring are a long way off, but there is no need to wait for the seasons to brighten up your life. A stained glass table lamp will splash an array of color across the room. Winter got you down? Flip a switch and let happiness shine!

Add Color You Can Sink Into:
Jewel tones are the ideal antidote to winter gloom. Throw pillows and blankets in ruby red, midnight blue and forest green can be mixed in with chocolate brown to provide a lovely and diverse palate. With comfy textile choices like microfiber, suedine and chenille, who wants to get up and go outside?

Nip all you want Jack Frost. It's bright and warm in here.
